  89. echo Most of PCS Windows features can run with as little as 256K available RAM.
  90. echo However, to access all PCS Windows features, 512K available RAM is suggested.

  92. echo HARD DISK:
  93. echo Approximately 400K (0.4MB) of free disk space is required to hold PCS Windows.
  94. echo Note that data files created by the PCS Windows Roladex, Datebook, Notepad,
  95. echo and others will add slightly to the amount of space used.

  98. echo PCS Windows has been tested with MS & PC DOS versions back to 3.0.  However,
  99. echo we suggest using MS-DOS 3.3 or higher for full compatibility.  (PCS Windows

  112. echo PCS Windows can run on ANY video system, from monochrome to CGA, EGA, VGA,
  113. echo SuperVGA, and beyond.  The color palette can be customized within the program.

  115. echo HOW TO INSTALL PCS WINDOWS:

  118. echo Well, be happy, because PCS Windows is already installed!  PCS Windows runs
  119. echo fine on any drive or directory you choose (including the current one).

  121. echo However, if you choose to move PCS Windows onto a different drive and/or
  122. echo directory (some use C:\PCSWIN), do so BEFORE you run the RUNME 3 option.
  123. echo NOTE:  If you ever move PCS Windows to a new directory, just run the RUNME 3
  124. echo option again.  Simple!

  133. echo W.BAT - THE MOST IMPORTANT FILE IN PCS WINDOWS

  136. echo The W.BAT file is REQUIRED to start and use PCS Windows.  Once you enter the
  137. echo RUNME 3 option, a custom W.BAT file is automatically created for you.  If
  138. echo you ever move PCS Windows to a different drive and/or directory, your W.BAT
  139. echo file won't work properly.  Just run RUNME 3 again to create a brand new
  140. echo W.BAT file.  (Every time you type RUNME 3, a new W.BAT file is created).

  142. echo UPGRADING FROM VERSION 1.0, 2.0, OR 3.0 OF PCS WINDOWS

  145. echo If you are using version 1.0 or 2.0 of PCS Windows, many of the file formats
  146. echo have changed.  DO NOT INSTALL THIS VERSION OF PCS WINDOWS until you contact

  163. echo To accomplish this, first find the AUTOEXEC.BAT file in the \ (root) directory

  165. echo the end of the AUTOEXEC.BAT file:

  168. echo      cd\pcswin                (or directory path where PCS Windows is loaded)
